Only recently did I come to know about the great alarm feature
and a way to disconnect GPRS instantly on our Nokia N95, the N95 8 Gb and the n95 NAM.
The Alarm Feature
You can put up numerous alarms on the phone simultaneously, each of
which can be scheduled to ring-up on working days, week days, or only on certain days of the week - practically whenever you feel like it. The previous Symbian versions
required certain 3rd party apps for these functions to be used,
really sad considering that we're talking about smart phones here. The S60 3rd Edition phone also has another feature worth noting: The alarm will wake you up even if the phone's been
switched off!
What's more, it will even ask you whether it can switch
itself on now that you are awake so that it can continue to help you
around..such a helpful dude huh? :) Of course with the v31 firmware we have some alarm bugs, but it's still notable nevertheless.
Fast Disconnect
The GPRS connection can be hung up just as you disconnect regular
voice calls by pressing the Hang-Up button for 2 secs. Upon doing this
it will ask for a confirmation - it comes in handy when you're
entering areas wherein the data charges are sky high, or for any other
reason that you can think of.

One step hacking for all S60 3rd,fp1,fp2,5800 ..
After Hello Carbide was defeated by the trick firmware update from Nokia the v31.0.017 there's a new contender in the field of hacking. I present to you HelloOX 1.03! Not only does it allow the hack, it lets us do it in a single step. Infact all you need to do is install the app - no copying system files or installing file managers or any of that crap.
HelloOX 1.03 update : - MapDrives no longer needed: The mapping drives code is now built-in HelloOX, which makes hacking easier, one app does all the work.(credit to FCA00000)
- All mapped drives would remove automatically, no reboot recquired.
- Since ROMPatcher doesn't works on some FP2 device, installing it is now an optional for FP2 user, no patches would apply and add to autostart, must do them manual
- Some guys complain that they can't play N-GAGE games, the main problem is open4all patch applied. I'll post the solution here ASAP.
- Install rootCerts option is removed from Pre FP1 & FP1 device, because installserver is enough. if you want to install it, please install it manually from E:\HelloOX\updaterD.sisx
- Install Modo(a TCB file manger by leftup) is optional.
Note: If you hacked your phone already, you don't have to use this update version to hack it again! An update just make this app better, it will not hack for more!
Steps to complete the procedure:
- Sign and Install HelloOX.1.03.Unsigned.sis, just run it after installed. Download it from here.
- Must sign with a 17 capability Dev Cert.
- HelloOX does all the rest for you!
- Enjoy it!
Get ur Certificate with your IMEI no. Sign with s60SignSis v1.0
Patch: Installserver for FP21. Copy the installserver_yourphone.rmp on your memory card; E:\patches ( the folder won't be there if you won't have rompatcher installed.
2. Just open rompatcher and apply the patch ( it should be good to use the autostart option )
