Ngage dies out yet again

Just like last time, Ngage one of the most widely hyped service from

Nokia is gonna be terminated just like it's predecessor the nGage

gaming cell phone. Both were highly hyped products that just lost all

their appeal upon arriving at the market. Guess just having a cool

name doesn't mean the products gonna win, does it ?

Console games are gonna be massacred ! and that includes you nGage

If someone launches virtual reality games will consoles die off ?

Steven Spielberg think so.

He tells the Guardian in this podcast that the 3-D revolution will soon do for gaming what it's doing for film - transform an industry. "I really think virtual reality, which experimentally came and went in the eighties, is going to be redeveloped, just like 3D is being redeveloped today," he says, "and that's going to be the new platform for our gaming future." He must think so. He's the guy who moved to direct Games instead of films and is now working at EA on Project LMNO.

Of course, many of us remember how bad the VR games from the 80s and 90s turned out (Dactyl Nightmare, anyone?). And there were plenty of people back then who thought VR would be the next big thing. It wasn't. Why? Because the games sucked. The risk here is the breathless embrace of a new technology. VR is meaningless without a compelling game to drive it. It's still so far away from adoption that we'd be better off focused on improving, say, iPhone games in the meantime. Or perhaps building PayPal support into nGage.

Thats correct, if you are in India and carry an N-Gage compatible nseries handset, you get to grab a free game. All you need to do in order to get it is create an N-Gage ID if you already don't have one, login to www.wap.nokiangageindia.com and click on ‘Submit Your N-Gage ID’ and enter your details. Once, the information is validated, you will receive a confirmation message and the activation code, after which you can login and start gaming. You might also want to join the N-Gage Gamer’s Gang on Facebook or Orkut for a chance to get even more free N-Gage games. Game on…!

NGage - how they all add up

I'd got a phone stuffed to the brim with Ngage, the handset being none other than the 8GB edition of Nokia's gaming device the N81 8GB - built for the Ngage gaming platform.. It was stuffed with a variety of games, and in order to judge their popularity I had done a little test. I had given of the handset for everyone in my hostel to play for 2 weeks. The points beside each title shows how much of each game has been completed - which in turn is proportional t it's popularity.

Ghoulish views on an N95

Get a load of this!
It seems some of the ghouls over at Tech from the Deep have a taken a fancy to theN95 processing power of late and they seem to have had a great time blogging about it too!

It’s not everyday that you get to see techy things and gadget stuff from a ghouls perspective. Makes for a nice read, being that it’s given from a different perspective - if you know what I mean
