Sony W910i MOBO Edition On its Way

Sony Ericsson has unveiled a new version of their popular W910i walkman phone - the SE W910i MOBO Edition. This announcement came a month before the 2008 MOBO Awards that will be held at the Wembley Arena in London. The specifications of the new phone, however, hasn’t been fully released to the public. But do know that the W910i MOBO should be on sale later this year, only across the UK and only via Carphone Warehouse.

As it is another version of the W910i walkman phone,then most probably the phone will come with pre-installed MOBO content. Also, primary staples of the original phone will probably be still there like its design, measurement and certain features. Features like a Walkman Player (version 3.0), TrackID, motion sensor, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, FM radio with RDS, quad-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE, HSDPA 2100 MHz connectivity, a 2.4 inch TFT display with 256K colors and a QVGA resolution, NetFront browser, email and IM, JAVA MIDP 2.0, a 2 MP camera with video recording, 40MB of internal memory and support for Memory Stick Micro cards would probably be in this new phone.
The handset price is still unknown but most probably, the the special phone will cost more than its original version (which is available across Europe for retail prices under 300 Euros).

Sony Ericsson G705 Launched !!!

Sony Ericsson isn't at CTIA Fall 2008but it launched a shiny new cell phone in London. The Sony Ericsson G705 offers a hefty crop of features in a slim slider design in both black and gold.
Inside you'll find a 3.2-megapixel camera that can capture YouTube-compatible video. The high-end shooter offers a load of goodies, including a digital zoom, a flash and video light, picture blogging, and PictBridge photo printing.

Other offerings include stereo Bluetooth, a music player, an FM radio, support for Java, a speakerphone, Wi-Fi, messaging and e-mail, USB mass storage, personal organizer features, 3G (UMTS and HSDPA), an accelerometer, a full HTML browser, a voice recorder, instant messaging, phone-as-modem capability, Assisted GPS, and PC syncing. And of course, it makes calls, too.

In all, that's an impressive assortment of features, and the 262,144-color display looks top-notch. In some ways the G705 has a lot in common with the Sony Ericsson G700 and G900, which the company launched earlier this year at the GSMA World Congress. But unlike its predecessors, the G705 does not appear to have a touch screen.
As a quadband (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) handset, the G705 should arrive in worldwide markets, the Americas included, by the first quarter of next year. Orange will get its own variant called the G705u. That will be Sony Ericsson's first phone to support UMA technology.

Sony Ericsson’s latest Cyber-shot phone has an impressive mix of imaging and phone functions.The C902 Cyber-shot™ phone is made for great pictures. The slide-out lens cover activates the 5-megapixel camera. Adjust settings via onscreen touch keys.People in focusIf you have people in your photo, activate Face detection.

Your C902 will automatically find and focus on a face.In the darkDon't let poor lighting stop you. For still pictures, the photo flash automatically fires when needed. The flash can be used in BestPic™ mode and for videos too.has a surprisingly small 2" 262K-color TFT display of QVGA resolution. When the display is off, it does look like at least a 2.2 incher, but with the lights on the reason for this size is obvious - there are eight touch sensitive camera keys that backlight in blue around the display. More about them is to come later on. As a camera-centric phone, Among them are face detection, image and video stabilizer, BestPic, auto-rotate, macro mode, photoflash LED, etc.

The camera itself is rather discrete, slumbering under a trademark sliding top. Once you slide it up, the camera is revealed and you are ready to shoot. The photoflash LED makes a compact and more efficient substitute for the xenon flash used in small digicams and cameraphones. The new photoflash LED is stated to produce approximately 25 lux/s. Its smaller size and twice less power consumption than standard xenon flash make it especially suitable for portable devices. It also doesn't need to recharge the way the xenon flash needs to after it has discharged when it fires.
