What i just stumbled upon is a great add-on for us technophiles. It's called the Kanguru e-Flash - funny name eh? But it's really cool. One end, supports USB 2.0 for general connection. The other end supports high speed, powered eSATA connection. eSATA is a new, cutting edge connection method for external computer peripherals that provides you with almost 5 times the data-transfer speeds of conventional flash memory. ultra-fast transfer speed, high capacity and small size makes it a great replacement for a bulky external Hard Drive.
The e-Flash’s Power Over eSATA interface allows it to be connected to a powered eSATA port, eliminating the need for an external power supply. The included Power + eSATA bracket is installed on your desktop computer and provides you with a powered eSATA port for use with the Kanguru eFlash. Additional Power + eSATA brackets can be purchased separately for installation on all your desktop computers or a Power + eSATA ExpressCard is available for laptop users at an additional cost. Several new laptop models come with a USB/eSATA combo port which can also be used as a powered eSATA port. On the durability front, this flash drive is made of high durability aluminium.
