We’ve Got 2 Free Licenses For StyleTap for S60
You can download the free 14-day trial from StyleTap’s website, and you can purchase the fully licensed copy for $49.95 from their site. However, because we know the economy sucks right now, StyleTap was kind enough to offer 2 free licenses to Symbian-Guru readers!
To enter, all you need to do is register at the Symbian-Guru Forum (don’t worry, it’s free), and then leave a comment on this post, telling us what device you’ll be using your StyleTap license on. That’s it, super easy! We’ll do the drawing on Wednesday, January 21st.

Official iSync Plugin For Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Available
Despite not having an official Mac-friendly PC Suite, Nokia does a decent job of supporting its Mac users with iSync plugins, so they can easily synchronize their S60-powered smartphones with their Mac computer. Unfortunately, each device needs its own iSync plugin, so sometimes those of us who get our hands on devices rather quickly are left in the cold. Great news, though, for 5800 XpressMusic owners - Nokia’s released an offiical iSync plugin for the finger-friendly smartphone. Most of you are probably already using the iSync plugin that Tnkgrl createdfor her 5800 XpressMusic, but this new one is officially available from Nokia.
You can download the 5800 XpressMusic iSync plugin directly from Nokia, and while you’re there, we recommend that you check out the Nokia Multimedia Transfer application, as well. Nokia has also put together a friendly walk-through to help you use iSync.

How Nokia tests its phones
Ever wondered how the mobile phone companies test the mobile phones? In Nokia test labs, you will see bunch of machines used to test the mobile phones ~ bend, bake, humidify, spray, poke and drop phones. The picture above is showing the mobile phone getting poked million times. Check out the rest of the torturing machines after the break.

Weather application for Symbian S60v3
This is the main screen, showing a report for Heathrow. The temperature is shown in the top left, the date when the report was downloaded is just underneath the location name.
Weather is a simple application which downloads and displays reports about the current weather conditions for about 6000+ locations all over the world. The reports are provided by the United States National Weather Service, and are in a format called METAR. The reports themselves are really small (a few hundred bytes usually) so they shouldn’t run up your data usage too much. Weather is free software covered by the GNU General Public License.

Ultra fast flash memory
The e-Flash’s Power Over eSATA interface allows it to be connected to a powered eSATA port, eliminating the need for an external power supply. The included Power + eSATA bracket is installed on your desktop computer and provides you with a powered eSATA port for use with the Kanguru eFlash. Additional Power + eSATA brackets can be purchased separately for installation on all your desktop computers or a Power + eSATA ExpressCard is available for laptop users at an additional cost. Several new laptop models come with a USB/eSATA combo port which can also be used as a powered eSATA port. On the durability front, this flash drive is made of high durability aluminium. Also featured in Computer World article. It can be bought here.
Nokia BP-6M: Warning of faulty batteries!
Nokia warns that some of the BP-6M batteries are faulty. The issue this time is not explosions like with the BL-5C, but that they grow and get bigger (actually up to several times of their original size!). And unlike how we see things usually bigger is not better. If you own a Nokia 3250 XpressMusic, Nokia 6151, Nokia 6233, Nokia 6234, Nokia 6280, Nokia 6288, Nokia 9300, Nokia 9300i, Nokia N73 or Nokia N77 and your batteriy seems to be growing faster than your hair, you nearest Nokia Service Center a visit , where you'll get a new battery for free.
